This place is closest, but the BEST coffee is Blueprint followed by Park Ave, both of which are nearby, albeit not walkable (meh, maybe Park Ave :)

McGurk's is one of the best bars in Saint Louis, and certainly has the best patio. It has multiple areas, one of which always has live music from genuine Irish performers.
Always has a full crowd. Decent food as well. Crowd can be on the younger side at night, especially on Thursdays.

You take a shuttle ride through the grounds and see various animals, and at the end you can see various exhibits of animals, including a petting zoo and elephant show. if you enjoy life on the water there is no better lake in the country (it was recently named the best lake in the whole country), only 2.5hrs away and has everything - peace and tranquility on the west end and bars and nightlife near the middle and east end
