Parks & Nature
The Langbathsee is particulary pretty with an upper and lower lake. It is only 8kms from Ebensee so you can bike or drive. Take a picnic and walk both lakes. The mountains soar above the upper lake. Beautiful scenery, mountains all around, lakes pristine and perfect, easy walk (no steep inclines) approx. 2 hours around both the smaller and bigger lake, perfect for a family stroll. It is a great place to spend a whole day when is hot, with the beautiful view on the high mountains. There is a good place for swim, a quite nice stony beach and very clean water. Close to the lake is a huge car parking (for free), toilets and a bar with cold drinks and something to eat. If the weather is not sufficient for swimming it is a good place for walking or riding on mountain bike.

Langbathseen

Plenty of parking ...ice skating in the winter… one can also rent a horse sled... once the upper valley is reached there is a steep craggy area with amazing waterfalls plunging down from pool to pool. Above this the wall of rock the Totes Gebirge is reflected in the waters of a lovely lake.
Offensee 1
It is a very quiet and remote, very beautiful lake. Take some time to visit this area and breath fresh mountain air!

Let's start our journey from Ebensee, from the bottom station of mountain lift. Let's buy tickets, and after a few minutes we will reach the top of the mountain, with a perfect view on Traunsee, Dachstein and many many others mountains. On a clear day, you can see for miles!
