As a Portland native, I resisted this destination because of the long lines and touristy vibe (even in the dead of winter!). I was a fool. One taste of the salted caramel changed me forever. Also, standing in line can be a fun, social experience at this place.
Pro-tip: You can skip the line and go directly to the cash register if you grab a pint from the cooler. You cannot choose wrong.

Getting Around
Providence Park MAX Station
Streetcar stop links you up with the Pearl District and Downtown. The streetcar is charming but it is the slowest form of transportation and difficult to coordinate a trip that requires being somewhere on time. It's kind of like the escalator of the city.

This stop may be a bit longer walk but it's easer to access (don't have to cross crazy Burnside traffic with no light/crosswalk) and a less steep walk. Trimet may direct you to take bus #20 but bus #18 is the better option, in my opinion.
