Great Castle in some nice grounds. There is the Ocean Explorer Centre here too which is free and has a small cafe. There are buses from Oban, a 10 minute drive or 30 minute cycle.

Less than an hour ferry ride from Oban. Head to the famous Balamory, hop over to the Island of Iona or Staffa or cycle around the Island. Lots of whale watching and wildlife tours go from here too!

Excellent speed boat wildlife tours around the Island of Scarba and Jura ranging from 3 hours to a full day. Well worth it. I have been on the same tour 6 times!!! 40 minutes drive from the flat.

Tiny Island with lots of slate pools that you can swim in! Lovely restaurant on the Island owned and run by a local! Book in advance for the evening! 40 minutes drive from the flat

Nice beach about a 1 hour walk from the flat. Most of the walk is on the pavement and has great coastal views. If you are here in the summer go for a swim!

Fantastic views on top a 300m hill that you can climb up and down in 2-3 hours. Take waterproof shoes as there are some boggy parts. There is a car park at the base. About 15 mins drive from Oban.

Highest mountain in the UK. Takes 7-9 hours up and down. Challenging but well marked route. Check the weather before you go! 1 hours drive from Oban, there are also buses.

Great views of Ben Cruachan and Loch Etive. You can see the famous 'Falls of Lora' running under the bridge. Rapids best seen 30 mins after high tide. The Oyster Inn below has food/drink.
