Tapas styled restaurant with a wine bar... casual & dimly lit. Great to go in a group so you can share multiple items. Ask for their "diablo sauce" on the side... it is spicy. Also known for having one very yummy burger.

Quaint little restaurant with a french flare. Nice spot for breakfast or brunch, but they also offer a dinner menu. Yummy dessert crepes and hot truffle chocolate.

Parks & Nature
Really great hiking trails, especially after the rainy season we've recently had. The habitat is lush and green. The trails can get steep in a few locations, but if you're up for the hike you'll end up seeing an awesome view of Los Angeles and the surrounding cities. I highly recommend that if you are hiking during the summer, or hotter temperatures to go during the morning hours or early evening to avoid the hottest times of the day :)

Turnbull Canyon RoadReally great hiking trails, especially after the rainy season we've recently had. The habitat is lush and green. Old little movie theater in the Uptown... great if you can catch a movie on Tuesdays or Thursdays when all movies show for $5, and popcorn and drinks are something crazy like $2! Very "Budget Friendly" :)

It's 3 miles from our home... but Trader Joe's is pretty "essential" grocery shopping if you ask me! Great prices, great selection of food choices, and the staff is most always super friendly and personable which makes me feel at home.

It's Target... another "essential" what more can I say :). We prefer this location on Whittwood Lane because we think it's nicer and there's LOTS of familiar restaurants & shopping surrounding that's very convenient.
