You can sit on the rocks for a picnic and a talk with friends, lie on the grass with a book, grill in one of the huge fire pits until late at night, and swim in the bristling waters of Lake Michigan. Many garee this is the best lakeside spot in the city.

My absolute favourite excercise, wind-down activity, beautiful ride, thing to do with friends AND commute route off of Hyde Park. You can join the Trail by 57th St Beach Tand go all the way up. The Lakefront Trail is a running and bike path that goes along the lake all the way to the North Side beaches. A way to follow a stunning view while exercising or just getting somewhere without a car.
