Wonderful Turkish staff and food, excellent 2nd-story perch for a beautiful, lazy day in the city. So close to (your second!) home. Get the fresh baklava and the octopus ceviche salad.

Arguably the best Indian food in NYC, albeit low-key, but still white-linen tablecloths. The staff is wonderful, and the food is everything you want it to be. Scratch your Indian itch here. Buffets.

Awesome, dark, rouge, intimate wine bar. Bathroom entrance to The Pod Hotel lobby, transcendent after a few glasses - as if dec'd by Warhol. A microcosm of NYC modernism/classicism. Cheese plate!

Amazing place for brunch. Look it up on Yelp. It's in an old carriage house, but smells the opposite of shit. The owner also has a floral shop around the corner. Get fresh flowers with your eggs.
