Food scene
Blakes is just up the street from the house (within walking distance). They are a New Mexico favorite!! They make delicious breakfast burritos, and you will need to choose "red or green" chile. I prefer "Christmas" which means both! Not all of the Blakes locations serve breakfast but fortunately, this location does (but only until 11am!). After that it's burgers, fries, etc. If you are a fan of Breaking Bad, you may notice they often had bags of Blakes in their scenes.

Bosque Brewing is another spot that you can walk to for some great local brews, delicious food, and a great patio! They have some yummy green chile falafel bites that are a must try.

I grew up eating at Dion's and it is arguably some of the best pizza I've ever had! They also have subs, salads and yummy sweets. The "Dion's special" has all the toppings of a supreme pizza but naturally, it also comes with green chile (are you seeing the trend?!). We order that pizza well done because all of those toppings can make the crust soggy if you don't! This is five minutes from the house.

This is a wonderful place if you want something a little more up scale. They have a lovely wine list as well as a full bar, featuring Spirits from New Mexico. This place is a must try!
In my opinion, this is the best Italian restaurant in Albuquerque! They make their own pastas, breads, sauces from scratch. Their cocktail menu is excellent along with their desserts. If you are needing a break from all the New Mexico Chile, I'd strongly suggest M'tucci's!

4939 Pan American FwyIn my opinion, this is the best Italian restaurant in Albuquerque! They make their own pastas, breads, sauces from scratch. Their cocktail menu is excellent along with their desserts. If you are needing a break from all the New Mexico Chile, I'd strongly suggest M'tucci's!
Pelican's is a couple of minutes from the house and is an excellent spot for seafood! They also have the best fried zucchini as an appetizer. Their bar menu is robust and on Tuesdays they have all you can eat peel and eat shrimp that is yummy!

Another wonderful New Mexican spot that the locals love! I can't think of anything on their menu that isn't delicious!! One of the best spots for authentic New Mexican food and a great atmosphere!

Nirguna is newer yoga studio in town that offers a variety of classes. They have the traditional "Bikram" series and also offer Ashtanga, and heated Vinyasa classes. A husband and wife own the studio and are both excellent teachers! It's only a few minutes from the house.

This is a great yoga studio if you want a hot and sweaty workout!! They offer manduka yoga mats and yoga towels as part of their fee so you just need to bring water - you will need it!

They also offer some warm and gentle classes if you prefer a more chill practice. You will love it here! It's located close to downtown but still only about 15 minutes from the house.

It's great in the summertime because it's much cooler than Albuquerque and also a wonderful place for skiers and snowboarders who love fresh powder. It's about a two-and-a-half-hour drive so it may be something to plan for on your next adventure to New Mexico!

This is a nice health food store that’s a couple minutes from the house. Great organic produce and a huge selection of vitamins and other natural remedies.
