Very nice canal walk. Typical of Islington residents on the weekend. Head east and you'll end up in Victoria Park or west and you could stop for food in Camden (very touristy - but definitely worth a visit) and continue further and the canal takes you right into London Zoo! You can gain access to this canal before Orsman Rd. Have a look on the map.
