At night it is illuminated by hundreds of small lights and is probably the most beautiful and romantic bridge in Amsterdam, though there are many, many others ! Passport2Amsterdam say : “One of the reasons this bridge is viewed as the most romantic in Amsterdam is the legend that a kiss on the bridge, or a kiss taken whilst travelling under the bridge in a boat means the couple will stay in love forever.
