From a guest: Go for lunch and sit outside next to the marina. Ask for the 25 cent cocktail special. Not many tourists know about that. For around $10 you will get some of the best food ever! Do not eat a sandwich, go for the lunch entrées, they are fabulous especially shrimp and grits. Dinner is a little pricey and not as much fun as sitting outside seeing the boats.

We had a couple take the one-hour tour, it was $40 a person.
They said it was a very fun and informative tour. Also, "the one-hour tour is kind of kid friendly because he stops and teaches about the alligators and other things, and let's you take pictures kind of more sightseeing. The other is a half hour tour and is meant for speed."
Nice thing about that is it's just a stone's throw away from the USS Alabama and USS Drum. Which we went to after we got done there.

They say the falls are dry during dry seasons so it's best to go after a good rain. And yes, you can get in the water and under the falls. It's best to bring water shoes if your feet are tender to rocks.
