Los Barriles

Welcome to Los Barriles! This is a great town to enjoy water sports like kiteboarding, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling etc. There are many great restaurants to choose from and nice beaches to enjoy. Los Barriles has a nice laid back feeling that will make you want to come back. Enjoy!
La Paz is a lovely City to visit. 1. You can swim with the whale sharks in the bay (these are safe placid creatures). This is a day trip and well worth it. 2. The Malecon is the commercial area along the bay. There are good coffee shops and restaurants along this stretch.

This is a can't miss restaurant that is one of the most popular in town. It is very busy at lunch so get there early. The salsa bar is unmatched anywhere. There are far more than tacos as well at this cozy outdoor restaurant. Try the chile Rellenos if you are there on the right day - these sell out early.

This is an excellent newer restaurant in town that is extremely popular. It is recommended to make reservations. They have excellent Sushi, steak, pasta, traditional dishes and more. Expect higher prices (but it's worth it) than you find at the smaller cafe's

Great place to grab a beer or magarita with tacos, rellenos, enchiladas, fish fillet, etc. The salsa bar is plentiful to top your taco just the way you like it. Hand made tortillas hot off the grill.

การเดินทาง

It is best to have a car or rent an ATV/UTV to get around

We recommend having a car to be able to explore Los Barriles and beyond. If you want to stay in Los Barriles only (which is what we usually) you can rent an ATV or UTV for a week. However having a car is best. This way you can go to the other cities that were mentioned. **The center of the town is small and the main grocery is on the street coming into town, as well as the banks.
วิธีประหยัด

Go to the smaller restaurants in town

They generally have better prices
สัมภาระที่ควรเตรียม

Beach clothes, Sandals, Sweater or jacket for cool evenings

The beach clothes are self explanatory. Los Barriles can be cooler in the winter due to the wind during the day and the cooler ocean temperatures in the winter. With that in mind, make sure that you pack some long pants and a sweater or jacket. It's usually quite temperate but the evenings can be cool.

Using Flashers and Blinkers on the highway. Important!!

1. Using a left blinker on highway one can be a signal for the car behind you to pass. If you need to make a right turn and someone is close behind you, you may need to go right and then come back across the hwy once traffic is clear. Just be aware of this as this 2. In Mexico people will use flashers to warn you of something in the road ahead. Men working, cows, goats, accidents. Please use flashers to warn others coming the other way.
