This centrally located green space has a little something for everyone. Tying together Queen St. & Mill St., this memorial park winds by a gazebo, natural play structure, picnic tables and benches, all along a train rail styled brick walkway. A colourful borrowing book tree invites browsers to find a shady spot. Informative plaques throughout the park tell local tales of old and new, heartache and healing. The (mostly) original covered train bridge, spanning Brennan’s Creek, tells the tale of trade and travel from the turn of last century. A lovely place to take a moment or enjoy local entertainment.

On the hottest summer days, the Caves are cool. For your comfort, take a light sweater. There is a set of stairs leading you into the Caves and one that takes you out of the Caves. A beautiful trail that passes a sink hole will bring you back. Low-heeled shoes are required. The white waters of the waterfall are a fine subject for movie fans and artists. Although not necessary, if you have a flashlight bring it along to get an extra close look at the walls and the fossils that are everywhere underground. Leashed pets are allowed in our picnic area and on our walking trails however not on the one hour guided tours underground. The cave system is not stroller friendly. Visiting with infants is best done using a snuggly or backpack carrier. Picnic tables are provided for the use of visitors. Soft Drinks, ice cream, snacks, souvenirs and science type products are available.

Fuel up Frequently!

It may be far and few between for fuel stations once you’re out sightseeing so keep a half tank full if you can. Some places close early as well or they’re not open on weekends!
