This is a re-route of HYW 1 after they build a beautiful tunnel which is enjoyable to drive through. Park right after exiting tunnel and make your walk on paved trail. It is suitable to all ages with bikes and scooter. This is a great place to watch whales during the migration time.

Beach Bike and hike around

If you feel the urge to see more then take your car for a 20 minute ride north to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, Chrissy Fields and Golden Gate Bridge. Same distance riding south to reach Half Moon Bay. Stop by Granada Marina for great sea food.

Sam’s chowder house in Close to Miramar beach.

Head south on Highway 1 and stop by Devil’s Slide, then to Fitzgerald Marine Reserve for seals viewing and beautiful trees. Get lunch around Mavericks Beach. This will be a whole day trip. It is less than 15 minutes drive from our house.
