My favourite pizza joint. They are family friendly: milk comes in a cute smily face class and there is a potty - in the craffiti decorated toilet! Their pizza is probably one of the best in Helsinki.

ROST is a small batch coffee roastery and here in Särkiniementie 5 they also have a shop. Last time went there for coffee shopping, they made the time to answer our questions and show their production line. Visit them if you want great cuppa! ps.you can borrow the beans grinder in my kitchen!

Beach and Swimming on our island
Beautiful sandy beach with a very low water - great with small kids. There is a rent show for SUP boards, ice cream parlow, and a good cafe bar with lunch and refreshments.

Two supermarkets, a pharmacist, a liquor shop (you cannot buy wine in the grocery store in Finland), coffee shops, great pizzeria and sushi place, and another decent chain pizza place are located in Lauttis, which is on top of a metro station. Take the "Otavantie" entrance if you come by metro.

This is the nearest grocery shop and is 400 meters away. It is a bit more expensive than the bigger supermarket in Lauttis but has all the basic things, and lovely things as some baked things and freshly squeezed orange juice.

So many fun things to do with all age kids! During weekdays, the playground staff arrange activities such as water games or crafts. The locals love this park!

Public transport is free for a small child and a one adult who pushes a baby tram.

Local transportation
When travelling from the airport, you can use the one same ticket for 90 minutes for the airport train (Airport to Railway Station) and then the metro (Railway Station to Lauttasaari). Choose the zones ABC (4,10€).
There are single tickets (valid for 80-90 minutes), day passes and 1-14 day passes. The bus tickets are valid also in the Suomenlinna ferry.
There are also city bikes starting from 5€/day.
