As a local, we have always called this special spot Sunrise Park. It's 5 minutes from Dozen Oaks and I honestly think it is one of the best views in Charleston. There is a small beach area for collecting shells or shark's teeth(if it's not high tide). Shady areas and green space for having a picnic or benches if you want to just sit and take it all in. There is an accessible dock that visitors can also enjoy. Free parking but there is a gate that closes automatically at 8pm so be mindful of that if you visit. Grab the bug spray that is provided in the apartment if you go here because depending on the time of day or season, it could be buggy.

This is a must see. Free parking and admission. An absolute gem to our area. I'll never forget the fist time I saw it. Absolutely majestic.

One of the many great things about Dozen Oaks is location. It is conveniently located between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. Uber/Lyft work beautifully and can be more cost effective than driving your own car and paying for parking downtown.
