Great jazz, super nicely renovated loft on Larimer St. and 27th. Won best new restaurant award last year--not for kids and not for the thrifty, but worth every penny if you can afford it.

Red Rocks is open for hiking, but it's also perhaps the coolest music venue in the country--natural ampitheater only 30 minutes West. And Morrison is a quaint, very hip little town. Lots of great hiking in the area as well...google Lair of the Bear hiking.

Very small but wonderful locally owned grocer is nearby--3885 Forest St, Denver, CO 80207--called Mountain Fresh Market.
