There are not too many places that combine Latin and French cooking and they come up with some good stuff. My personal favorite is their Eggs Benedict and their French Bakery is outstanding.

Doc Martins is the restaurant for the old Taos Inn across from the Plaza. My favorite dish is they make is their Sunflower coated Chili Relleno (pictured to the right). The adjoining Lobby & Bar at the Taos Inn has free live music every evening and a large Margarita Menu.

Nice Steakhouse right on the Main Drag through Taos Town just before the Taos Plaza. Good steaks and atmosphere.

Jalapenos is a great little mom and pop restaurant just past the Plaza advertises how welcome dogs are at their place and all of the food is good.

Taos Mesa Brewing has got all the bases covered and are what's going on in Taos. They have live entertainment every night (maybe they take a couple of nights off each year so check in advance and some shows there sell out in advance). They make their own Micro-Brewing Beers about 6-8 different excellent choices of beers that rotate every month along with a menu of typical bar food done well. Their venue is unique they have an indoor bar and grill area with a stage and outdoor covering a large area is a bandshell that resembles the Hollywood Bowl. It is 5-miles West toward the Rio Grande Bridge (7-miles) off of US-64 & New Mexico Hwy 150 (the road we are on).
