Food Scene

Joe's Shanghai has some of the best Chinese food in the area. It's a little touristy and crowded, but definitely worth the wait. Get the soup dumpling with crab and pork.

This is a great place for ramen, but the prices are a little steep. If you do go, you should opt for the green curry ramen, as it's their signature dish.

These aren't the most consistent dumplings in Chinatown, but if you can get them fresh, they're amazing. I recommend getting the pork and chive dumplings.

Drinks & Nightlife

This is my favorite bar in lower Manhattan. The owner, Rob, is a true gentleman and always takes care of my guests when we stop by. I'd recommend their $10 shot & beer combo. Get the spicy pickleback.

This place is pricy, but definitely worth going to if you're looking for an authentic NYC speakeasy experience. It can be hard to get in on the weekend, so try going early.

This restaurant/bar is essentially a speakeasy, but is a little easier on the wallet than Apotheke. It's tucked away in a little corner, so just look for the steps leading down.

This place has great pastries and pork buns. Things can get busy during the afternoon, so I'd recommend going first thing in the morning or later at night.
