You don’t know North Snohomish County until you’ve driven the Mountain Loop Scenic Highway. Take I-5 Exit 208 Arlington and follow SR 530 east to Darrington. The loop is a 100-mile stretch of roadway between Granite Falls, Darrington and Arlington, passing three rivers, old growth forests and Barlow Pass. For seasonal information, call the Ranger Station in Darrington, open year-round, at 360-436-1155. The Verlot station keeps seasonal hours.
