The west coast is a sort of coastal and seaside extension of the River, a promenade stretching in length of 623 meters. Fully paved with white brac stone, with its luxury yachts and catering facilities, is the new popular Splićan gathering place and their guests. The west coast is not just a place where you can enjoy the most spectacular view of Split in Split, where you can find out which athletes from Split won the Olympic medal and thus promote your city around the world. On the promenade along the sea are placed bronze plates with the name and the name of the Olympic medal winner, the year and the city of Olympics, the medal type and the stylized presentation of the sport.

Although the conqueror, Napoleon's Marshal Marmont is responsible for the urbanization of Dalmatian cities, so Splićani in turn retained him in the most beautiful Split street. Marmont's street is not only beautiful but also historically relevant. It was founded in 1922 by a library and a franchise reader, today Alliance Francaise. There is also the first Karaman Cinema in Split. There is also a unique fish market to which no flies fly due to the smell of sulfur from nearby spas. There are also beautiful secession buildings of Duplancic and Toncic, while the northern part of it through the Venetian bastion dates back to the architecture of the theater and the church of Our Lady of Health.

For centuries, Matejuška was the harbor for Split fishermen's boats, residents of Velog Varos have been robbed into the sea to feed their families. There are still dozens of boats attached to it today, drying, preparing and selling bait, and near the fishermen monument, a large hollow. Matejuška is also famous for the lovers of lovers in her smells and sounds, you will be able to see them well-rounded gathering around the townhouses where they are gulping since that day, often with song and wine. Mateo's crown Edo Šegvić, who was the author of the project for the renovation of the harbor some years ago.

Riva began its present form two centuries ago, when the French ruled at the time of Napoleon in these parts, by marshal Marmona's hand. To this day, this promenade has become a city living room, the most popular and most important public space of Split. In the meantime, its appearance has changed several times, but it has always been marked by the spectacular scenery provided by the southern façade of Diocletian's Palace, with its entrance to the Podrum, and later erected buildings west of the Palace, then Franciscan monastery with St. Frane's Church, and Palace Bajamonti Dešković and Lučka A captain at the eastern end. Today's Riva is a paradise for hikers.

Diocletian's Palace is one of the best-preserved monuments of Roman architecture in the world. The Emperor's palace was built as a blend of luxurious villas - a mansion and a Roman military camp (castrum), divided into four parts of two main streets. The southern part of the Palace was in this scheme for the emperor, his apartment and the appropriate state and religious ceremony, while the northern part was for the Imperial guard - army, service, storage, and the like. The palace is a rectangular building (about 215 x 180 meters) with four large towers on the corners, doors on each of the four sides and four small towers on the walls.

Porta septemtrionalis is their Roman name. Through them, Diocletian walked to the Palace on June 1, 305. They were constructed in a square with double doors, as part of a defense propognaculum. The front was decorated with niches in which four sculptures of the tetrarch (Diocletian, Maximilian, Galeria and Constance Chlorine) were figuratively figured. This gate, through which from Peristyle, on Cardo Street, led directly to Salona as the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia, only the car and members of their family could be used. Today, with a nearby monument to Bishop Grgur Ninski, the work of the great Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović, one of the favorite Split tourist points.

Porta Orientalis is their Roman name. Through them, the main street, decumanus, entered the palace east and west, all the way to the Iron Gate, and today to Pjace, the central city square. The silver doors were more modestly decorated by the Golden, and by the Middle Ages until 1952 they were closed , So that by the demolition of the baroque church of Dušice they were thoroughly reconstructed. Along the door are the remains of the octagonal tower, so you can easily imagine the beauty of construction and the power of supervision over the entrance door from the north, east and west.

The famous Scottish architect Robert Adam considered this temple one of the most beautiful European monuments. The rectangular ground floor, the temple served as a celebration of Jupiter's cult. It lays on the elevated floor, and in front of the temple stood the porch on six pillars. Relief portraits on the portal, as well as a cassette battalion influenced the early Renaissance architecture of Andrija Alešija and Nikola Firentinac in Trogir. The transformation in Krstionica occurred in the late antiquity, and under the construction a crypt was dedicated to St. Tomi. I

Cellars of Diocletian's Palace represent one of the best-preserved antique complexes of this kind in the world, and are largely due to the fact that the historical core of Split 1979 is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. In Roman times, their function was to raise the emperor's rooms in the upper floor, but they were also the storage space of the Palace. As a constructive loyal copy of the upper rooms, they allow a faithful reconstruction of the appearance of the imperial chambers. In the early Middle Ages, one part was used for housing, and in one hall were found portions of the oil and wine production tower, which are still exposed today.

There are several important sights on this trendy square that lends itself to life in cafes, restaurants and exclusive shops, and often fairs are held. The largest is the octagonal Venetian tower, the remains of the former fort, built in the 15th century for the defense of the then small town. Opposite the tower is the magnificent palace of the old Milesi family from the 17th century with a spectacular Baroque facade, one of the best examples of that style throughout Dalmatia. In front of it is a monument to the father of Croatian literature, the Splinterian Mark Marulić, who was one of the most important thinkers and intellectuals of the 15th century. Prokurative (Trg Republike) is a large square situated west of Riva, like Venetian St. Mark's Square, surrounded by three non-Renaissance buildings with arches, and the square has its name that most people know it. The square is only open to the south, providing a wonderful view of the Port and the River. The construction of the Prokurative was initiated in the middle of the 19th century by one of the most prominent mayors in the history of the city Antonio Bajamonti, who wanted to show that Split was all based on Italian traditions. There are also colonnades like Venetian, and reliefs over the windows that invoke ancient and Renaissance influences. Bajamonti made a great theater
