There's always something to do or something not to do during your stay
Frankland River Retreat is also an ideal place for keen photographers and astro photographers, as there's no light pollution you can take some great photos of the stars at night and you can go walking around the property and gets some great photos along the river.
In the warmer months you have the cool breeze and In the cooler months you can sit nice and cosy by the fire.
Outside, on the veranda is an outdoor dining setting a bench seat a BBQ and beautiful views over the property.
Spend your evenings on the veranda with a BBQ, enjoying a glass of the local wine.
If your feeling more adventurous or want to go sightseeing Frankland River Retreat is a great location to venture out to Albany, Denmark, Pemberton, tall karri trees of Gloucester National Park, Walpole,Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, Stirling Range National Park, Bluff Knoll and Porongurup National Park . its a great location for that get away.

Yes - We love dogs and due to many enquires we advertise as pet friendly.
But only allow dogs at the main house
There is fencing surrounding the house so dogs have plenty of space too.
Do we need to bring towels?
Yes - Although linen & bath towels are provided per person, we recommend you bring your own personal towels
Are there any shops or supermarkets nearby?
A general store is located in local town of Frankland 14Km from the house.
The nearest IGA supermarket's are in Kojonup & Mount Barker.
Can we go for walks on the property?
Yes -Please be mindful at certain times of the year there are sheep in the field.
I have a big family can extra people stay?
Please request for additional people prior to booking.
Is there free wifi at the house.
Due to our remote location, WiFi is not available within the accommodation area.
We see this as a positive though, an opportunity to unwind, slow down and reconnect with family and friends. However Telstra mobile 4G works at the house.

Please check and contact wineries for opening times before visiting as Alkoomi winery has cellar door open 7 days per week. Ferngrove & Frankland Estate cellar doors are by appointment.
