It is true that Ryan paid the booking right away without any hesitation. As a host in general, you need to communicate the whereabouts of guests for further instructions, he did not return to email me. I reported to AIRBNB and kind of worry about this man who never talked to us if he is okay or not. I regretted that I should not approve any strange guests without screening their background. For this guy like arrogant, kind of racist in a way, that he said the average Filipinos Salary like a price of a door was on record. It was BULLY!!! He called my Assistant for a spare key, and told me that she is on her way but the guest did not wait, Breaking the door without asking the host's permission is LIKE a burglary= crime. The price of my unit is not that pricy like of a 5 Star hotel. He promised that he will pay the damage but instead, yes he sneaked out as he mention above, and left a message, “just talked to my lawyer”. To me that is rude and unprofessional business, and what is he afraid of? He did not pay the damage to install a new door when he left the place. So then I reported to Airbnb Resolution Center and posted all the conversations, pictures and the invoices of the damaged costs. Thanks to AIRBNB, they did their part to make him pay for the damage. That's the time he paid the price that he try to escape from my unit. Problem solved. To all hosts, I don't mind my reviews over here, but I try to help, if you never have done so to check their background who will stay in your unit, please do. We try to help our guests and served them well the best we can, and we cannot expect perfect guests response but this kind of experience was worst.
If you are a host, you might be surprised what will happen. I CANNOT RECOMMEND a guest who breaks your door without permission.
