Fantastic little guesthouse on 1 acre in the Ferry Street Bridge neighborhood. This comfortable space is close to Oakway Center, Autzen stadium, and UofO. Beautiful garden, orchard and backyard with a large deck. Easy access with bicycles available to explore the nearby bike paths along the Willamette river.
This is a charming 2 level (lofted) guesthouse with fir wood floors. It sits adjacent to the main house across a large wooden deck with private access. The lower level has a cozy living space with a foldout clicker style couch that's perfect for two smaller people, snugglers, or one adult. The dining, coffee and end tables are handmade from reclaimed wood. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. The bathroom is also on the lower level and has a shower.
The upper level is accessed by a ladder/stair (please see picture). The lofted space is light and bright with a full wall of windows opposite reclaimed wooden walls. The full size futon bed is on the upper level. There is also a twin bed with lots of large pillows to take a snooze or curl up with a good book.
Guests are welcome to all of the outside areas including large deck with eating area, gazebo, and gardens. Seasonally the flower and vegetable gardens are producing as well as the apple plum and pear orchard, raspberry patch, and grape arbor.
We have bicycles available to use free of charge. They are equipped with locks and baskets with helmets available. Perfect for the quick jaunt to Autzen stadium, Oakway Center, or the grocery store around the corner.
We will meet you upon arrival and will be available as needed thereafter. We've lived in the area for a long time and are happy to help with directions and suggestions or give you your privacy and leave you to explore on your own.
We're a fun and easygoing family. We ask that you respect and enjoy the property as much as we do.
We ask that you not have guests other than those of you staying in the guesthouse.
Keep noise and celebrating at a respectful level.
I'm a husband, dad of 3 awesome teenagers, and I enjoy working and playing hard. Travel, adventure, and woodworking are some of my favorite things. I'm an avid cyclist and occasionally mix it up with the old guys in cyclocross racing. Exploring the amazing Oregon terrain on my dualsport motorcycle is another activity I enjoy. Though my wife is a great cook, and eating "in" is my favorite, I like taking advantage of the local restaurants, breweries and winerys in our area.
