I'm an author, mainly history books but lately a book about the Amazon. I love outdoor adventure, desert hiking, mountain trekking, backpacking, and wildcrafting. Village life worldwide attracts me, from Nepal to Tibet to Peru, which is why airbnb appeals. It's the same friendly outreach among people of good will that works life's magic, turning strangers into friends. . I enjoy a cozy and colorful setting, and love to share my home with others. My motto is "Ever Onward!" because I can't live without ideas, inspiration, new writing projects, and of course, vegetables from Berkley Bowl! Striped ones, yellow ones, round ones, skinny ones, green leafy ones....mmm.
My own travel is often trekking, stopping at guest houses, or traveling by bus, whether in Bulgaria or China. Having written a cookbook, I'm always looking out for new recipes and unusual foods, and find that friendly chats about local cuisine often develop into longer, informative discussions.
