This family-friendly ground floor tenement flat in Glasgow's stylish West End sleeps 5-6 and boasts a fabulous shared garden with barbecue area.
This bright and airy ground floor flat, with its high ceilings, large windows and leafy views to the front and the rear makes the ideal relaxing holiday property. Situated on a quiet street with the River Kelvin walkway just yards away and the Botanic Gardens less than 10 minutes' walk. The accommodation is also ideal for young families, with plenty of toys, books and games, not to mention a fabulous and friendly shared garden.
The kitchen was fully renovated in 2014 and has new high-quality appliances (oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer). The bathroom is currently undergoing renovation and is due to be completed by early July, so we will post pictures as soon as it's done.
In terms of beds, there is a comfortable queen-sized bed in the front bedroom. The back bedroom is our kids' room, and it has a delightful loft bed (not recommended for young children as it's pretty high!) and full-size bunk beds. In the living room there is a sofa bed that sleeps 1 adult (or 2 children).
We are slightly unusual in that we do not have a television. However, you are welcome to bring a laptop/tablet and use it to watch TV online with our speedy fibre optic broadband. We do have a lot of books, a selection of board games and a piano, so we hope you won't be bored! Young guests are welcome to make use of our children's toys, including sizeable collections of Lego, Duplo and Brio train tracks.
Glasgow summers are usually warm and sunny, but don't worry if you hit a spell of poor weather - the flat is double-glazed and boasts a brand new central heating system and a cosy gas fire.
If we are in Glasgow on your arrival date, we will of course be around to let you in and show you around. If, however, your stay falls during our holiday, we will arrange for one of our many helpful and friendly neighbours to be on-call for you. Either way, we are just a phone call away. We will not be present on site during your stay.
Also, we speak Swedish and Spanish (and a little bit of French and Portuguese) if that aids communication.
As you will gather from the descriptions and photographs, this is our family home. We are very pleased to be able to share it with visitors to our wonderful city, and we have had great reviews from previous guests. We cannot offer you the monochrome minimalism of a hotel room, but we can offer you a comfortable, clean, peaceful and welcoming holiday home with plenty of character. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
This is a no smoking property. Due to allergies in the family, we are sorry that we are not able to allow pets.

We are half-Swedish, half-Scottish family with a love of books, music, good food and the great outdoors. Martin is a writer and Lucy works for a family support charity, and we are both musicians. Our kids are a blonde whirlwind of fun who love Lego, stories, and making things from the recycling.
