We're ideally located for Hull University, Castle Hill and Hull City Centre, with great transport links to around Hull and the East Riding. Cottingham Train Station is 5 minutes walk and we're ideally situated for buses too.
Cottingham is a quiet and well appointed village with shops, pubs and restaurants. The University is 10 mins drive and Hull city centre is a 7 minute train ride away - perfect if you're looking for somewhere to stay when visiting during City of Culture year.
Our house is a modern new build on a very quiet residential street away from the main road. We've decorated it in a fresh modern style and it's very comfortable and homely. We'd prefer it if you took your shoes off to try and save the carpets, but we're not going to be stressed about it if you forget.
Guests can access any part of the house except the master suite on the top floor. That includes your large bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, a small study, a kitchen/diner, living room and garden.
We both work full time, so will be out of the house during the day Monday-Friday, but are usually around at some point most evenings and over the weekend. Happy to leave you to your own devices, but if you need any tips on things to do, pubs/restaurants or just directions to the train station, we'll be as helpful as we can! I also work for the City of Culture team, so if you're looking for tips on things to do while you're here, just give me a shout.
For breakfast, we will make sure the kitchen is well stocked with cereal, milk, tea, coffee, bread, fruit etc. Please help yourself!
We also have an additional single bedroom available, if you would like to book that in addition, please let us know. We charge an additional £20 per night for the second bedroom.
Although our listing states check-in is after 5pm, we are able to be flexible with this sometimes, so please ask.
We also only accept bookings from people who have verified their ID with AirBnB. If you haven't already done so, you can find instructions on how to do this here: https://www.airbnb.com/verify.
We're a pretty quiet couple (and we are a gay couple, so this is a gay friendly house!), we both work full time and enjoy spending our spare time doing work on our house and garden, watching TV, or sitting in front of the fire in the local pub with a pint.
We love to travel and enjoy everything from city breaks for the weekend, through to chilled out beach holidays, or even some adventures in Iceland. Wherever we go though, we do like our creature comforts, so you won't find us camping without a very good reason. Every time we go somewhere, we bring an idea back about something we could do for our guests or a little something we could put in the room to make their stay a bit better.
We're both really friendly and hopefully, you'll find us welcoming and helpful without being overbearing!
