The Old School House 1873

'Old School House' previously known as the Codrington Primary School, had the distinction of having Victoria's lowest student numbers before its closure in 1989 (5 students!). Enriched with character, an open fireplace and mezzanine level, this cottage is nestled amongst charming birdhouses and landscaped gardens. The perfect writers retreat or artistic getaway located right in the middle of popular Port Fairy, rugged Cape Bridgewater and the World heritage listed 'Budj Bim National Park'.

Our place is great for enjoying laid back country life. You are just 1.5km to the middle of Port Fairy township with shops, cafes, pubs & beaches but also uniquely located in a country style setting. The cottage can host 2 adults + a baby in a portacot for $15 per stay. We do stress that the Cottage is located at the front of the property on Princes Highway so you do get road noise from trucks but we have had many guests stay, enjoy & the price reflects this.
