Forest Bathing / Shinrin-Yoku
Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) is a traditional Japanese awareness meditation, proven to be a profound antidote to anxiety, depression, fear and tension.
You will be taken upon a simple forest walk, whereupon your guide, Helena, will facilitate and enable a sensual immersive experience, whereby the forest languages of renewal, growth, change and impermanence will become your experiential second nature.
You will develop a sense of inner peace and stillness that will be supported and encouraged by nature's living, ever-changing process.
Absolutely no experience necessary. The requirements are a willingness to let go of your troubles, fears, worries and anxieties.
Other things to note
Wear warmer clothes than usual as we will spend time being still in the woods and in the shade of the forest canopy. You may also wish to bring something to sit on during sit spot practice.
Great for groups and team building too.
I also work with Forest Garden, Shovelstrode that is located 4 miles from the location of this Forest Bathing experience.

Electric Bike Brighton Coastline
Looking for an exciting adventure to start your day in Brighton? Look no further than an "electric" mountain bike ride along the breathtaking Brighton coastline. Whether you prefer an early morning, afternoon, or evening ride, this experience promises to be unforgettable.
As you set out on your journey, feel free to ask your knowledgeable guide any questions about Brighton and its surrounding areas to ensure you get the most out of your visit. If you prefer to go at your own pace, your guide can show you where to go and provide a short guided route to the seafront before giving you the freedom to explore on your own.
Before hitting the road, make sure to choose the correct bike size and helmet, and take a quick test ride to build confidence. Once you're ready to go, the adventure truly begins as you head to the Brighton seafront and ride along to Rottingdean, passing by iconic landmarks like the British Airways i360 tower and famous piers.
If you're new to biking or prefer a smoother ride, the Undercliffs trails offer a perfect option. Once you arrive in Rottingdean, you can either ride back to the Marina along the top of the cliffs on the dedicated bike path or take the off-road coastal trail for a more adventurous experience.
Whichever route you choose, the stunning view of the Sussex coastline from the cliff top is not to be missed.

Come and meet our small herd of playful pygmy goats.
Our 3 original nannies and 5 of their kids from a previous year. And we have recently added 2 super friendly golden guernseys to our herd.
The three mummy goats came to us several years ago. The head of the herd is a rather large blonde female, called Tinkerbelle, whose favourite pastime is eating. She believes that she is entitled to all of the food, so it has to be scattered. Second in command, is super friendly Bella, who is the brains behind it all. She’s our very own Houdini and can break out of almost anything, leading the heard to frequent escapes. The others have equally beautiful and unique personalities, and we are sure you will enjoy getting to know them during the experience.
Great for groups, group discounts available.
The experience will be indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather. You will be able to sit down on our floor seating and be jumped on by the babies, or, you can stand and pet them. We will give you a small pot of feed to ensure that the goats are your best friends!
We also have several ponies in distant fields and roaming chickens, ducks, rabbits, and guinea pigs, who live within the safety of the farmyard. Please note that this experience is exclusively with the goats.
We do have handwashing facilities, but no toilet at this time.

Bob Ross Painting Experience
Firstly the students choose a painting from my collection (everyone paints the same )
After my initial introduction, we have a practice on an old canvas, when I show you how to use the brushes to create the painting, to get familiar with the materials.
We then change to a brand new canvas (20 x 16 inches) and I teach you slowly starting with the sky, and layer by layer to build up the painting till it is finished. I will give everyone all the time needed to produce a painting that will astound yourself and your friends.
I can teach anyone to paint. Even if you've only ever painted doors and skirting boards before.
The Bob Ross method of painting is simple to understand and the first time you do it, you can get a fantastic result.
I supply all the materials needed including plastic aprons, tea and coffees and gentle music!
It's a very relaxed atmosphere of having fun while learning to paint.
The time limit is not strict as some people need more time, which is no problem, as I believe that this is your day, and if that means more time, its OK with me
PLEASE BE AWARE, I will take everyones temperature with my new infra red thermometer. If you have a high temperature YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN US FOR THE PAINTING SESSION. You will receive your payment back from Air B&B
Due to COVID 19 I have lowered my class to 2 people, but contact me I can do 4 people from same bubble.
Other things to note
Wear old clothes as paint can jump and bring a snack to eat for lunch.
If you are looking for another date, (other that Wednesdays) you can always ask. I am busy , but if I can fit you in I'll always try.

Archery Session Brighton
Fancy yourself as the next Katniss or Legolas? Well, we have just the thing for you. Our Archery range has a variety of targets including standard, dart board faces and 3D targets for you to shoot at. Seeing our foam Meerkat take an arrow to the face and then get back up ready for another one is a delight to see!
The sessions start with a safety brief from a instructor and then we let the arrows fly. Sessions normally start from 10 metres back. However, as the session progresses so does the distance, reaching up to 30 metres.
We have standard re-curve bows for the adults and for kids smaller traditional bows. You get to shoot as many arrows as you can in the allotted time. With a large selection of bows, your group can all shoot at the same time. We even finish the session with a mini competition!
Other things to note
Our venue is an outdoor venue, we do continue our session in most weather conditions.

Create a bonsai
Ever wanted to try something completely different? Great! You'll be surprised by what you can achieve and you'll be proud to show off the bonsai you've created.
I'll greet you with a glass of Prosecco (or soft drink) and
- demonstrate how to turn a small tree into a bonsai by pruning, wiring and potting. Then it's your turn to
- choose a tree and use your newly acquired skills to create a bonsai
I love sharing my passion for bonsai and I believe that it is more fun to create a bonsai than buy one ready-made - and much easier than it looks!
My experiences have been described as fun and enjoyable as well as therapeutic and informative. You'll also have the opportunity to look around my 'amazing' peaceful garden setting and be inspired by my bonsai in development.
By providing all the trees, soil, wire, pots and equipment, you'll create your very own bonsai with guidance if you wish.
I keep the group size small and you can work individually or as a team to discuss the options each tree presents, as well as sharing your success.
I'll also provide after-care tips so that you can keep and develop your trees for many years.
Ideal for friends, colleagues, families, hen parties or anyone wishing to learn something new in a fun, friendly and informal setting.
More dates available on request or I can come to your garden!

Ebike on an adventure through Seven Sisters Country Park
Embark on an exhilarating ebike ride from Seaford beach, traversing the Sussex coastline and winding through the picturesque Seaford Head Nature Reserve, culminating in an unparalleled view of the magnificent Seven Sisters cliffs. Delve deeper into nature as we follow the Cuckmere river trail, immersing ourselves in the sprawling Friston Forest - the largest established forest in South East England.
We can customize our mountain biking experience based on your skill level. For more experienced riders, we'll venture through the challenging single track trails, discovering the bomb creators and weaving our way through the thick forest. Alternatively, if you're a less experienced rider, we can opt for a more leisurely route.
As we emerge from the verdant foliage, we make a pit stop at the iconic Long Man of Wilmington - a fascinating hill figure etched into the undulating slopes of Windover Hill. Our next destination is the historic village of Alfriston, where we indulge in a classic English lunch, steeped in tradition.
But if you're feeling daring, we can prolong the adventure and ride along the base of the downs, all the way to the historic West Firle village, before hopping on a train from Glynde back to Brighton. The possibilities are endless - all you need is a spirit of adventure!
Other things to note
Have previously ridden a bicycle.
