Working with clay is mesmerizing - and challenging. After a tour of the studio, guests will don aprons and sit down at their own wheels to "throw" up to 5 pieces. We work "hands-on," with each person to insure that you make at least 1 or 2 beautiful vessels. If you decide that you want to "finish" your pieces, there are 4 more steps: trimming, bisqueing, glaze and high-firing. The process takes about a month, and the potters at FIRESTICK will do this work for you for a fee of $15 per piece. This price includes a glazing class, if you'd like to come back within 3 months, or you may select your colors (from more than 40 finishes) and we'll glaze for you. After that, we can ship your pottery anywhere in the country. AS A SAFETY MEASURE, ALL POTTERY WORKSHOPS ARE LIMITED TO 8 PEOPLE. Wheels are placed far apart and masks are required. Our studio is "open-air" so dress appropriately! HAND-BUILDING and SCULPTING. Some guests (especially kids under 10) prefer "handbuilding," rather than "throwing on the wheel." We will take photos of you in and out of the water in the last 10-15 minutes of the experience. These are not professional pics but a great memory for you, your friends and family. You will start your adventure at Stone Fox Ranch where you will meet our wonderful tribe of animals. We will connect you with a horse based on your weight, energy, and experience level. While we are getting your horse ready, feel free to hang out with our dogs and chickens. We will take a moment to fill out waivers, give you a crash course riding demonstration, and we'll get you mounted and on our way. We'll explore the gorgeous Santa Monica mountains and possibly stumble across a family of deer. The trails are endless in our local mountains with over 8,000 acres of rolling tall-grass plains, oak savannahs and dramatic peaks with an abundance of local flora and fauna. You will certainly enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains with breathtaking panorama views during a guided intimate ride with our happy horses. Other things to note Please be on time! Plan on arriving 10 minutes early and keep LA traffic in mind, we allow a 15 minute grace period. If there is a time/date that you don’t see available, send us a private message!

Prior to boarding, pose like a seasoned pro for a photo shoot with the airplane. Once you’re on board, the pilot will give you an overview of the instruments and controls. After getting clearance from the tower, you’ll taxi to the runway for takeoff. Once at cruising altitude, you’ll learn basic flying skills in the training area over the Simi Valley. Then, grab hold of the controls and feel free to move about the skies, exploring LA by air. Finally, in preparation for landing, you’ll come back down to earth at Van Nuys Airport. Other things to note IMPORTANT : This experience is currently only offered as a private experience. The guest has to book both spots on the experience and will be allowed to bring an additional guest to sit in the back seat. Only one guest will be in the front seat. Approximate flight time is 40 mins Expect a cancellation if there is bad weather. Only two passengers are allowed per ride to create a guest-focused experience.

I'll help you get into waves and give you instruction in the water to help you surf your first wave(s) The remaining time: you'll show what you've learned, We'll be a little more hands-off and either join you in the water or watch from the beach. Cat is international award-winning variety performer Vixen DeVille with 15 years experience in Fire Eating and Flame Manipulation. At the newly renovated Theatre 68 Arts Complex she will take you through the theory and safety precautions behind fire eating and body burning. We'll then actually light up the torches and explore this performance art fully with hand transfers, tongue transfers and of course, extinguishing the flame with your mouth. This is NOT an illusion! By the end of the session you'll be fire eating and body burning like a pro. Other things to note: Wear close-fitting clothes, sleeveless is ideal and either leggings or shorts. Flat shoes, no heels. A chance to enjoy a private and intimate tea any time of the year, surrounded by nature’s beauty and in the company of an array of hummingbirds! You’ll be welcomed to a garden shaded with ancient live oaks next to a babbling creek. There is a large established hummingbird population living in the oak trees above all year around. You’ll be seated under these magnificent live oaks and will be surrounded by dozens of hummingbirds (several different species) as you observe them come and go, zooming by your ears, feeding on nearby flowers, chattering, doing incredible aerial acrobatics. They’ve gotten used to people and will go about with their antics mostly undeterred in your company. These little flying jewels will buzz all around you; they’ll hover inches away so you can both take a closer look at each other. You’ll have a chance to take some great pictures. Tea (Iced tea available in the summer) and some simple sweet treats will be served as you observe their acrobatic flight up close and learn all about them! The garden is home to numerous other bird species; some of which you will surely encounter!

First, my guests will suit up in paint suits, rain boots, goggles and gloves. Then, we pick groovy tunes to paint by. Next, I'll have a bunch of balloons filled with paint they get to use in my custom built splatter zone. With a canvas on the easel, I'll show them a few ways we get to explode paint and create exciting abstract art. With the full body suits, some people enjoy getting painted on as well or even letting their friends, family or coworkers throw paint balloons at them through the explosion screen. This experience has two main stages; on the easel, getting the painting super covered with awesome splatter and then flat on the table or ground, where we'll go full Jackson Pollock. I guide people through the whole painting adventure, while taking photos and quick videos to remember the times.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have one-on-one time with goats? See what it’s like to connect with them, by being among them and observing them up close, undisturbed? This is a small, intimate, therapeutic and relaxing experience, one that allows you to turn off and forget the outside World for a while. Research indicates that interaction with therapy animals can temporarily affect the release of various neurotransmitters in the brain. Oxytocin levels (linked with bonding) and dopamine levels (involved in the reward-motivation system) are increased, while cortisol levels (an immunosuppressant associated with stress) are decreased. They are very mild tempered and perfectly safe to be around, even for small children. You will be able to feed them treats, brush and groom them, we can also teach you how to milk them if interested (seasonally) and you will have the opportunity to try their milk. We can stay with you to answer your questions and tell you about our animals, or we can leave you with them for a private and intimate experience. High Horse Malibu offers private horseback rides in one of the most secluded and scenic areas in Malibu! Our trails traverse rolling hills, wooded canyons, and striking rock formations, with sweeping ocean vistas around every corner! A one of a kind experience you won't forget. Right after you book you'll receive an email from us collecting some basic info (physical stats, riding experience, etc.) so that we have the perfect horses tacked and ready when you arrive. Upon arrival you'll be introduced to your guide and acquainted with your horse. We start every ride off with a ten to fifteen minute riding lesson to get you comfortable and confidant. When everyone feels good - we hit the trail! There are plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the ride. Our goal is for everyone who rides with us to leave with an appreciation for horses and a love of riding! Things to note: If you plan to take an Uber or other ride share service - please make arrangements for pick up prior to being dropped off. It is difficult (sometimes impossible) to get cell service at the ranch depending on your provider. The rider weight limit is 200lbs. Exceptions made for riders over 6ft tall. A morning hike to stunning city views, in a dog friendly park with our rescue dogs! We will enjoy a nice walk up hiking trails to the top of Runyon Canyon. Fantastic city views, and the perfect view of the Hollywood Sign! As you climb your way up the hill with your new pals in tow, you’ll be exercising and socializing the dogs, and letting locals know they’re up for adoption. You’ll also become a puppy paparazzi and take their photos in front of panoramic backdrops—you can even pose with them with the famous Hollywood sign behind you. Your pictures will then be used to generate interest in the rescue organization, attract potential adopters, and bring in donations that will help further care for and foster the dogs until they find their forever homes. This experience is great for groups and great for teams! We love to host private and corporate groups, and socializing with the dogs is great for team-building!
