This experience starts with a 15 - 20 min. Segway training session making sure you're completely comfortable with how the Segway operates. Then we'll make our way through the charming Butler Park area where you'll start to understand a bit about the climate and culture of Austin. We'll skim the downtown corridor for a quick lesson of the skyline, but we'll stay south of the river, heading down Congress Ave., to make time for shopping Austin's popular boutiques. A highlight of this tour is cruising to Austin's MOST famous murals, as well, where you'll be sure to get the perfect snaps for all your social media platforms and Austin bucket list items. **I make every effort during the hot Summer months to make this a comfortable experience. It's bat season y'all! That's right, one of Austin's most popular attractions from Mar - Oct is watching our Mexican free-tail bat population take flight each night. This Segway experience is the perfect activity for transitioning from day to night in Austin and we'll get as close as you want to view the bats as the finale. Segway training takes place before dark then we'll cruise to some key vantage points for watching the sun set on Austin's amazing skyscrapers. As the city comes to life, we will fill you with interesting facts and quirky details about why almost 27 million people visit Austin each year. Cruising down the 2nd St. shopping district is a highlight of this trip, making a visit to Willie Nelson's bronze, life-size statue. TIME PERMITTING: A stop can be made to go inside Austin's newly built Central Public Library: a state-of-the-art facility and a true testament to our city's creative & technological environment. Because the bats are in fact wild, live creatures, some elements of nature beyond my control can, from time to time, affect their flight. Some are heavy/recent rains, high winds, cold temps, too bright or too loud conditions due to construction or a nearby concert. This may cause less bats to take flight or they may come out later (outside of the experience window). These circumstances are rare, but must be understood.

First, I'll welcome you into my home and share my personal connection to Indian food and family history. We'll talk about regional differences, techniques, and kitchen essentials. Then we'll begin cooking together - this is a hands-on class! Finally, we will enjoy the meal together. Feel free to BYOB. Whether you eat vegan, vegetarian, Paleo, Whole 30, gluten-free, dairy free, sugar free or if you eat all of the things, I can accommodate. All spice tolerances welcome! After a short briefing of safety rules and procedures, we will leave the dock for a relaxing and/or exciting day of sailing and fun on Lake Travis. You are welcome to actively participate in the sailing experience, or you may simply relax and enjoy the beauty that is sailing on Lake Travis. At your direction, we can set the sails and head to the hot spots for a swim, visit a local restaurant on the water, dine/snack on board while out on the water, or take some photos of the beautiful Lake Travis scenery and sunsets. In warmer weather, night sailing provides a memorable view of stars, meteor showers, and sometimes the milky way. When you have heard enough of my stories, I'll safely return you to the dock for your reentry to civilization. For this experience we will meet and play where are the top pool hustlers play in South Austin Clicks Billiards. All Ages Welcome at a certain times and venues. At Southern Trails you will enjoy a genuine Texas experience! There's no better way to explore the Hill Country than on horseback. Misti and I will take you on a scenic, guided horseback ride, show you the reins, and ensure you have a fun experience. First, we will pair you with one of our highly trained and lovable horses! (Whiskey, Bear, Mississippi, Comanche, or Dolly!). Next, we will have a brief lesson where you will learn to stop, turn and ride the proper way on the trails. Then we will head out and take an hour trail ride through the beautiful hill country. We will ride through trees, up hills, down hills. We will pass some creeks and ponds and even a graveyard dating back to the 1700’s! The graveyard is said to hold the relatives of Davy Crockett as well as some other heroes from Texas history! We will stop to take a couple pictures along the way! If you have younger children please call and ask about "Little Dude Ride." It is perfect for kids and families that aren’t quite ready for the hour trail ride. We want everyone to be able to have an awesome horseback riding experience. Up next is our slice of Austin Weird, a dichotomy of divergent tastes coming together to tantalize your taste buds in a way you'd never expect! On our stroll we'll say howdy to Willie Nelson, an Austin icon, and pass by where Austin City Limits is filmed. After which you'll learn about, and sample, the dish that we have been eating in this territory since 5000 B.C, a tasty chicken tamale. After several great bites, we'll take a stroll down Congress Ave to see and talk about some of our protected historic buildings. Imagine hearing a concert by a world-class award winning violinist as you walk down a gorgeous nature trail. I'll take you on the only nature and acoustic music immersion experience I know of anywhere. We'll start at a beautiful oak tree covered corner park and then make our way to a private greenbelt. The experience will include a private guided walk with live violin played by your host along the way. You'll learn a few fun and interesting facts about history of the area, nature, and scenery and I'll lead you in a short guided meditation at the midpoint of the experience. Our first stop is the world-famous Salt Lick, a must-visit destination for mouthwatering Texas BBQ and scenic vineyards. While the tour price does not include alcohol at the breweries, Salt Lick is BYOB, and I'll have a fully stocked cooler for you to enjoy. Plan to bring around $35 for the BBQ, and trust us, it's worth every penny! After Salt Lick, we'll head to Jester King Brewery, a favorite local spot nestled on a stunning 165-acre ranch in the Texas Hill Country. With a brewery, kitchen, farm, and event hall all in one place, Jester King offers a one-of-a-kind experience where you can savor local brews and soak in the breathtaking scenery. Want to try on cowboy boots while you are in Austin? All you have to do is book an Alvies Boot Party, and we will bring the boot fitting and the boots to you at your Airbnb. Trying on and buying boots should be an experience that you can talk about for a lifetime. So we’re making the process fun. We’ll bring a van full of Alvies boots to your Airbnb so you and your guests can try on the styles you like. It’s a personal boot-fitting, booze-mixing, and music-listening, hell-of-a-good time, all rolled into one. Once you book, we’ll reach out to collect information on your Boot Party - including the location, your, boot choices, and whether you want add-ons (like your logo or initials engraved on your boots). There is never, and will never be, any obligation to purchase anything at an Alvies Boot Party. With that in mind, the cost of the boot is not included in the booking fee. If you do decide to make a purchase, you will get your boots right then and there. At Southern Trails you will enjoy a genuine Texas experience! There's no better way to explore the Hill Country than on horseback. Misti and I will take you on a scenic, guided horseback ride, show you the reins, and ensure you have a fun experience. First, we will pair you with one of our highly trained and lovable horses! (Dolly, Sunny, Applejack, Howdy and Comanche) Next, we will have a brief lesson where you will learn to stop, turn and ride the proper way on the trails. Lastly, we will ride through one of the most beautiful stretches of “The Devil’s Backbone.” This limestone ridge is famous for it’s mountainous views and winding roads. You will ride up hills, down hills, near ponds and creeks, as well as take in the most unique and breathtaking views in all of Texas! We will stop to take a couple pictures along the way! If you have younger children please call and ask about "Little Dude Ride." It is perfect for kids and families that aren’t quite ready for the hour trail ride.
