Hiking at Seven Ladders Canyon
We will leave Brasov by car and after a short drive we will reach the foot of Piatra Mare mountain. From there we will start our hiking to the canyon dug in the mountain called "7 Ladders". The wonders of the mountain will surprise us from the first steps made on the forest paths that goes deep into the forest. We will pass among spruces, firs and bushes that line up along the paths we will cross. They will accompany us in the course of a river and small waterfalls will delight our sight and hearing. Once at the entrance to the canyon, we will prepare our cameras to capture every step as we pass through the great cliffs of the Carpathian Mountains. At the exit of the Canyon we will be greeted again by the forest with its beauties. Next is the descent to the place where we left the paths, showing us the beauties that, perhaps, we escaped on the way up.
Hiking with a white husky to the Brasov sign
Our hike will last about 2.5-3 hours and the difficulty is medium. We'll start our adventure from the base of the mountain. First I will jump and wiggle my tail around you for about 5 minutes after that I'll start exploring the forest. Meanwhile Sorin will guide you and tell you interesting things about this amazing place. We will reach the Gaboni steps where I will run tireless by your side trying to catch every leaf that moves. After we finish climbing the steps(about 1 hour) we'll reach a clearing that's perfect for a longer break and a photo session. After that, the trail will take us to the giant letters "BRASOV" that can be seen from downtown. There we'll enjoy amazing landscapes with the old town and beautiful mountains on the background! We will return on the classic trail back home satisfied and full with positive energy. Other things to note: The address for the meeting point is Pictor Pop 2. If you use the map feature directly from Airbnb, the directions may be incorrect. If you are on a tight budget message me and we will find a solution. Dante doesn't like children so it's not a good fit for them. The experience may be postponed or canceled (full refund back) if there are bad weather conditions. The terrain is rocky, steep stairs and climbs and potentially slippery conditions depending on weather. I recommend you to bring long pants.
Turul obiectivelor turistice din Transilvania by Adrian
Certainly! If you're visiting Brasov, don't miss the opportunity to explore two fascinating historical sites: Dracula's Castle and Râșnov Castle. 1. **Dracula's Castle (Bran Castle):** Step into the legendary world of Count Dracula at Bran Castle. This iconic fortress is not only a place of myth and legend but also a well-preserved piece of Transylvanian history. Explore its eerie chambers, stunning architecture, and breathtaking views of the surrounding Carpathian Mountains. 2. **Râșnov Castle:** Just a short drive from Brasov, Râșnov Castle offers a glimpse into medieval life. Climb the hill to this ancient fortress and enjoy panoramic views of the picturesque town of Râșnov and the surrounding countryside. Explore its well-preserved walls, towers, and the fascinating history that surrounds this place. Both castles provide unique experiences, from Dracula's mystique to Râșnov's historical signific On returning to Brasov, we stop near the White Tower and start a walk towards the Black Tower, Schei Gate, Rope Street, Jewish Synagogue, Black Church and Council Squere, where the tour ends. The walk lasts 45 minutes and is approximately 1.5 km. During the walk, the host will tell you about the history of the visited objectives and some legends related to them. In order for the tour to take place, the participation of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people is necessary.
Brașov walking tour and polaroid photoshooting
We will walk around the beautiful medieval city center of Brasov and take unique polaroid pictures. You will see the major historic monuments of Brasov, visit some lesser-known places, and discover the story of this magnificent city. There will be plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos both with the polaroid camera and your phone/camera. You will be able to experience the thrill of old-school photo shooting. You will have the photo right away, but it will take about 10 minutes for the film to fully develop in the darkness of your pocket. We are going to talk about local myths, funny urban legends, and the exciting past of this multicultural city. After the tour, you can use your new, but fairly vintage polaroid memories to decorate your travel journal or maybe your fridge at home. Or you could also mail them as a surprise for your loved ones. Note: The price includes three polaroid photos for each person, but if you would like to take more, there will be a chance to do so at approximately 2.5 euros/12 lei per photo. Please let me know in advance if you think that you might want to take more than three photos. The quality of the polaroid photos is not comparable to those taken with modern digital cameras, but that also adds to the artsy feel of the photos. Temperature also influences the quality of the photos, if it’s cold.
See the world from the humps of Ighis
Join me on one of the most spectacular treks in this hilly area of Medias and be ready to take a lot of pictures and maybe spot some wildlife - we're talking deer or foxes. We will start the trek near the Goldsmiths Tower, climb the "hill of cemeteries" and enter the forest. We are at about 440 m above sea level - and 100 m above the town level - and for about 30 minutes we will enjoy a lovely forest walk. Till we get to the edge of the hill. We are up high and in front of us there is a valley and in the middle of it, 7-8 small hills that look like the humps of a camel. To the right we will get a glimpse of the Ighis Lake, in front but in the background we will be able to spot the very tall chimney from the abandoned industrial site from Copsa Mica and to the right we will be able to see the Fagaras Mountains, the tallest in Romania, just 100 km far. Fast forward to another hour and we will see the world from the tallest "hump". :) This trek is a circular one: at one point we will return to our initial path and we will end it at the Goldsmiths Tower. In the end, we would have made 8-9 km.
