Great food - casual atmosphere - good to watch the game and always at least 1 yummy veggie option on the menu

This is our favorite date night restaurant for its cozy mountain chic atmosphere and incredible offerings. It has a build your own old fashion menu and amazingly delicious dinner options, such as bison beef stroganoff and mushroom/goat cheese fire cooked pizza (a MUST!) Do yourself a favor and build your old fashioned with Breck Bourbon Whiskey, Black Walnut Bitters and Agave. Hot tip for our fellow parents: We drop our daughter off at the Mountain Top Children's Museum for Kid's Night Out, run across the street and into the parking lot behind the Mexican restaurant, then stroll across the beautiful river bridge and make our way to the Blue Stag. We get our name on the list (they don't take reservations), then order an old fashioned and sit by the fire pit on their outdoor patio. If it's a long wait, we head to the Dredge/Breck Yacht Club, which is an old barge that is permanently anchored in the mighty Blue River and can be accessed by the aforementioned bridge. There we have a pre-dinner cocktail and play games while we wait for a table. Ahhh, perfect night.
