Maclay Flat Nature Trail is located 1.5 miles from your doorstep. This is a great place to start your adventure on the Bitterroot River. The 1.7 mile trail loop along the river offers a great place for bird and animal watching. The “put-in” allows you to easily launch your canoe, raft or kayak for fishing or a leisurely float down the Bitterroot. Hours: 6am-10pm.

Beautiful area for a walk or a swim in the river. In the mid to late summer, the river can get pretty low, but is grate for kids wading and exploring. Across the Blue Mountain Road you can access an 18 hole frisbee golf course. The course is pretty hilly so be prepared for that.

A nature trail that is relatively flat that completes a loop. There is a trail to a scenic stretch along the Bitterroot River as well.
