Great for small children. At low tide, the tidal flats go way out. There are bathrooms and a snack shack.

Orleans Hands down our family's favorite beach on Cape Cod! Perfect for families with kids of all ages, but best for younger kids or ones that aren't into jumping waves as there aren't any. Tide goes out for a LONG way. For the younger crowd, it is all about playing in the sand and collecting hermit crabs. It is best to go early, pay $30 for the day to park, bring snacks, drinks and lunch with you, so you can hang out for the day. Warning, you will have to move your setup as the tide changes. You can do some swimming in the nice warm water, but only at high tide - it is wonderful for kids and adults too! Lifeguards and bathrooms - small parking lot so arrive as early as you can! After 4:30, the parking is free and the sunsets are gorgeous!
