St. Nicholas’ fortress is situated at the entrance to St. Anthony’s channel, and it was constructed during the 16th century in order to protect the town against the attacks of Ottoman empire from the sea.

A very unusual fortress surrounded by sea that was used as a protection of city harbour against Venice attacks. Today it is protected by UNESCO. It is not yet revitalized but there is path to walk there. Definitely a must see. One of a kind.
