This is one of the most popular art museum in Switzerland. It is not huge, but always hosts wonderful exhibitions. The building itself is also fantastic. It opens everyday until 6pm.

The satisfaction with the visit varies with the interest one has. However Renzo Piano's wonderful building, the views framed by the windows on three sides, the sculpture gardens, and the carefully curated objects from the permanent collection, always make the visit deeply pleasurable. Like most attractions in Basel, is easy to reach by public transportation: Bus 6, drops you right at the door.
