Beautiful in the spring, when the chestnut trees bloom, teeming with activities during the summer and autumn. Again, stunning in the autumn, when the trees' leaves turn to gentle shades of yellow, orange and red.
The riverside of Somes river: a walk along the banks of the river Somes is always nice, and you may even end up at the tiny beach, popular with sun bathers in the summer! Following it will get you to the Central park; a beautiful park in the heart of city, perfect for picnics or bicycling and…
It is a big park, having the oldest casino in cluj, a nice lake where you can hire a boat a row, visit the park, engage with the people, do sports like jogging, running etc.
The central park of the city and the home of the untold festival. Walking distance 13-15 minutes.
Just beautiful, relaxing and calm. In the summer you can rent a boat and paddle on the lake in the center

“The garden is over 14 hectares in area, with over 10,000 plants from throughout the world. It is divided into ornamental, phytogeographic (geobotanical), systematic (taxonomical), economic, and medicinal sections. Romanian flora and vegetation are represented by plants from the Transylvanian plains, the Carpathian Mountains, Banat, etc. Among the Botanical Garden's interesting attractions are the Japanese Garden (a garden in Japanese style, with a brook and a Japanese-style house), the Roman Garden with archeological remains from the Roman colony of Napoca, among them a statue of Ceres, goddess of cereals and bread, alongside cultivated plants that dominate contemporary Romanian agriculture. Jablonovszki Elemér was its head gardener for 45 years.”
