Miami has several world class private contemporary art museum collections and this is one of them. Only a 5 minute car ride from my airbnb and right next to the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami Museum this world class contemporary art museum offers the free admission and access to the world’s most contemporary art.

Private museum with a stellar collection of blue chip contemporary art (Peter Doig, Wade Guyton, Sterling Ruby, et al.). Open most days until 4pm, no entry fee. Walking distance from here.

Much more than just an art gallery, this is a world class collection on three floors of contemporary art. The de la Cruz family have made their collection highly accessible to the public. It's free, the docents are amazing and will give tours, and it has regular open hours. Highly recommend this place and it's right in the Design District, which is very walkable.
