Mill City Museum is a Minnesota Historical Society museum in Minneapolis. It opened in 2003 built in the ruins of the Washburn "A" Mill next to Mill Ruins Park on the banks of the Mississippi River.

Must-see for the area, fascinating history of the Milling industry. Exhibits are fairly static so you may not want to go a second time, but do yourself a favor and spend 2 hours there to see the exhibits. Excellent Minnesota themed gift shop as well.

Super fun, informative, interesting building and great views of the Mississippi/ St Anthony Falls; there is an indoor farmers market here in the winter!

Great location in Downtown Minneapolis, explains the history of flour mills and their importance in the settling of the Twin Cities
