They will then drive you to the trail head for your adventure. You can also drive to Hawi to the old Kohala Sugar Company Headquarters, you can find this bright yellow building on the mauka (uphill) side of the intersection of Hawi Road and Akoni Pule Highway. This is the check-in location and pick-up point for Kohala Waterfall Adventures.

Good tour operator on the island. I've done BOTH of their bird watching tours. Expensive, but worth it. They get you to off limits areas. Some very good guides.

These folks offer the best Mauna Kea Summit at Sunrise excursion, and several others. We ourselves have done their zipline and private waterfall excursion and it was AMAZING. bonus: their ziplines are very quiet!
