Just a 10 minute walk away across Clissold Park, Stoke Newington is a local gem! Church street (the main high street) is filled with independent shops, loads of restaurants and restaurants. Make sure you go to Spence bakery - the best bread around! Now I know this sounds weird, but there is the most fascination cemetery in Stoke Newington called Abney Park. It looks like a film set and really is lovely for a morning walk.

Stoke Newington is a villagelike residential area with indie shops, hip global eateries, chic cafes, and bars on Stoke Newington Church Street.
