It's the highest mountain in Novato, and just happens to be very close by. Even though you can walk there, I suggest driving to the trailhead so you'll have more energy for exploring.

walk up San Marin 50 yds , turn right on Sereno, walk straight ahead 2 blocks and go thru the gate in the cattle fence. LOts of hiking trails, beautiful countryside!
