The local swimming pools are great. This is a special one. The oldest and very charming. Great for swimming - and even better for lounging in the hot pots or sauna.

Swimming pools in Iceland should not be missed! This one is our personal favorite. It's an outdoor pool, with a steam bath and a selection of hotpots. It's about 20 minute really nice walk (or bussess 11 and 13 from Lækjatorg) There is nothing like soaking in the hotpot at the end of the day. There is also a very nice cafe and bakery across the street and a nice little supermarket, Melabúðin, next door (more or less). Which is worth exploring
