This is the place to go for a nice walk along the river if you're looking to avoid busy crowds. Dogs aren't allowed, because it's a nature reserve.

Smooth wide gravel paths allow you to stroll up top with a gorgeous overlook of the Deschutes River canyon. The Robins Trail descends down the canyon to the river trail below. Pretty easy walking but some hills and some rocks in the narrow dirt path.

Well... I know we said Shevlin is our favorite park, but this one is darn close as well. Be aware, this is a nature reserve and no dogs are permitted.

Great hiking spot for kids or running spot for adults. Be sure and drop down the short switch backs and head downriver to Tumalo State Park for a longer hike or run.
