This restaurant used to be an old convent and you can hike to this lookout point directly from the guest house. It takes about 40 minutes "zu Fuß" and is uphill a lot of the way... but when you get to the top the view overlooking the lake and the Sipplingen village is definitely worth it! You can also drive the back country roads to get here too but most people enjoy the hike. You can get a cold drink or small meal... Just double check the opening times of the Haldenhof restaurant online if you want to make sure it is open when you go as their opening/closing times vary, especially in the off-season.

In den Wintermonaten ist die Gastronomie zwar geschlossen, aber die Sicht bleibt und die ist phantastisch. Bei guter Fernsicht ist das der beste Ausblick über den Bodensee bis zu den Alpen!

Mit einem der schönsten Blicke auf den Bodensee. Mit dem Auto in 20 km erreichbar. Lässt sich auch toll mit einer Wanderung kombinieren. Auto in Sipplingen abstellen und mit verschiedenen Routen / Schwierigkeitsgraden hochwandern. Draussen gibt es einen kleinen Spielplatz für Kinder.
