If you are staying in Seattle for a few days I would highly recommend a trip to one of the islands. The islands around the Puget Sound is what makes Seattle such a unique place to live! It is a little bit of a trek, and requires a car. You can drive your car onto the ferry for about $10, the…

Point of Interest
“I am a water person. I love looking at water, hearing water, and being in the water. I prefer hikes with amazing views and this is one of my favorite hikes. It's about a 4-4.5 mile loop. You can either start at Cemetary Road and check out the old historical buildings or start at the beach. I prefer to start at Cemetary Road because then you can see the green farming fields overlooking the water. The colors are so vibrant, it feels like you are walking in a picture.”

“The Ferry Boat service to Whidbey Island. It is a nice day trip to drive around the Island, stopping to see Deception Pass Park, walk the bridge, and some of the WW II Forts on the Island are pretty cool. Coopville has good seafood right at the dock, restaurants, antique shops, bakeries, and seafood restaurants. Clams and mussels are local.”

“This is one stop I always take my out of state visitors. The views are just awesome and its fun to walk across the bridge, lots of photo ops for free! Its always nice to go under the bridge and walk along some of the trails, its a nice quiet place to be. I go there on my own as well for that reason. Its all just very pretty and calming, who doesn't need that?!”
