The Chicken Shop is part of the Merivale ground and is a fantastic option if you want home style food but don't want to cook. The roast chickens are absolutely delicious (reliably moist and juicy) and there are always a bunch of different salads to choose from. Other staples are the French fries, roast vegetables and wedges. You can order on line and then pick up (5 minutes walk from Farthing Cottage) or wander down and order and wait. Highly recommended for a night in.
