Beach
“Point St. George is a prominent rocky point about three miles north of Crescent City. The Point is where the St. George Reef Lighthouse keepers lived when they were ashore back when this lighthouse was manned (from 1891 until 1975). In 1995, it was decommissioned and completely abandoned. The historic lighthouse is six miles offshore on the Dragon Rocks northwest of the point, but it is visible in the distance on a clear day (bring binoculars). This lighthouse, which is one of the tallest in California, is under restoration by a non-profit group who intends to provide tours by helicopter.”

อาหาร
“This is the manufacturing plant for Rumiano Cheese Company. California's oldest family owned cheese manufacturer. The retail shop has a viewing window, if you get there early enough you'll be able see them make some cheese! They have a good selection of cheese and curds, mostly Cheddar, Jack, Fontina and such. No Brie or other soft cheeses. ”

Natural Feature
“The western edge of the approximately 6,100-acre wildlife area borders the Pacific Ocean. Sand dunes extending inland are covered with scattered beach grasses and other vegetation. The area encompasses Lakes Earl and Tolowa, two lagoons connected by a deep channel known as the Narrows, and bordered by salt and fresh water marshes. Lake Earl is the largest coastal lagoon on the US West Coast. Further inland the area ends in upland fields and forest of Sitka spruce and pine trees. Some of the diverse wildlife species that can be found in this area include quail, grouse, canvasback, western grebe, coastal black-tailed deer, and beaver. Location: 5 miles north of Crescent City, bordering the Pacific Ocean Access: From Highway 101 take Lake Earl Drive. Go left at Old Mill Road. Proceed 1.4 miles to the wildlife area information center. Boat launch facilities are located at the end of Lakeview Drive and Buzzini Road.”
