Lovely old steam trains take you from Littlehempston, accessed from Totnes train station, to Buckfastleigh and back, alongside the Dart river.

Our local steam railway - a lovely day out with butterfly farm and rare breeds farm at either end of the line. Travel in style!

Great steam railway - taking you from Totnes where you can also visit the Rare Breeds Farm, past Staverton Station - used in Hercule Poirot films and on to Buckfashleigh at the end of the line. Make sure to go a few yards further on to the Butterfly and Otter sanctuary before your return trip.

Always a favourite trip on board this beautiful steam train and a visit to Buckfast abbey is recommended!

You can pick up the steam train from the restored little station of Staverton and travel along beside the River Dart to Buckfastleigh and visit the Dartmoor Otters and Buckfast Butterflies, then return past Staverton and on to Totnes where you can visit the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm or the town itself, before hopping back on the train to return to Staverton. There are also some lovely walks starting at Staverton Railway Station too. 5 minutes drive
